MEET BEC
I have a deep passion for both education and the human body. After spending over a decade teaching high school science, I decided to pursue my Pilates certification to merge these interests, while also gaining the flexibility to raise my family.
As a dedicated and creative instructor, I bring a personalised approach to group Pilates classes. Each session is uniquely designed to engage the entire body, incorporating small equipment to enhance strength and balance. My goal is to ensure that every exercise can be translated into everyday movements, helping you build the confidence, strength, and flexibility needed to fully enjoy life. I am committed to helping you become a more efficient mover, while also fostering greater body awareness and control.
Pilates has profoundly impacted my life, enabling me to manage hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (hEDS), fatigue, back pain, and sports-related injuries. I truly believe that Pilates is the only exercise system I can sustain into my later years without difficulty. It has transformed my health, and Iām confident you will find it just as rewarding.
connecting mind and body
PILATES CAN HELP
REDUCE BACK PAIN
Strengthening core muscles can help reduce and manage back pain. All of our classes are focused on core connection and conditioning. Once you coordinate breath with core connection and movement, you may notice an improvement in lower back pain and strength.
BUILD STRENGTH
Your whole body can benefit from the Pilates Method, with exercises that build strength in both small and large muscles. There is a strong focus on developing the intrinsic muscles that support your joints and resistance work for maintaining bone health.
INCREASE AGILITY
Each session ensures you experience a range of movements that work your spine in all directions, keeping you supple. With balance and coordination challenges in every exercise, your Pilates training will ensure you continue to enjoy recreational and sporting activities for life.
